It's a boy!
After 5 1/2 years of my viola's existence, I have determined that it is indeed a boy. This realization came to me this morning while practicing. I force myself to spend so much time with it everyday, that it surely HAS to be a boy (or maybe I don't know myself well enough...). So, naturally I start thinking of boy names, and am instantly sold on Fitzwilliam. Why? Well, that so happens to be Mr. Darcy's first name in Pride and Prejudice, and most of you who read (probably past-tense now) my blog know that I have this strange infatuation with Colin Firth........
HA.
Maybe his nickname will be Fitzy? And maybe now I'll actually look forward to practicing a little more!
p.s. Blogging just has not appealed to me in the past couple months, as you can tell, but I don't know if this is a comeback or just a moment of inspiration that needed some documentation. Perhaps both? Am curious to find out how long it takes someone to read this...

Yet another survey...
Sorry about the blog hiatus. No more auditions for awhile, so maybe I'll be better about updating. For some reason, surveys seem to be my weakness, so here's the latest binge:

This sounds gross, but for roadtrips, Dr. Pepper and Chili Cheese Fritos.
2. If you were reincarnated as a sea creature, what would you want to be?
umm, a mermaid??
3. Who's your favorite redhead?
myself. :P
4. What do you order when you're at IHOP?
IHOP overwhelms me because you can't just get a normal-sized breakfast. It's like everything comes with pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, and ham. But I think I end up getting something like the 3 eggs + 3 pancakes deal, which is still more than enough.
5. Last book you read?
In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson..which I've been reading off and on for a year! It has no plot (not in a bad way at all), so I can put it down for a couple months and pick it back up again without a problem. It's great!
6. Describe your favorite pair of underwear.
Colorful.
7. Describe the last time you were injured:
I can't really think of anything since the time I hurt my shoulder practicing about 2 years ago.

Amber's the tallest, so she'd probably increase the chances of getting out.

haha...this isn't as easy to answer as it should be! So I'd say both, but it would depend on which group/symphony and for the symphony, the program.

What would happen if Jessica Simpson, Alba, or Biel were to do that??? I think not.

Potentially habitable planet found
I get a little annoyed when they say stuff like this. Now, I am definitely NOT a scientist (nor have I taken a science class since high school), but I feel like scientists limit themselves by only looking for planets with similar atmospheres to Earth's for life. Who says "aliens" require the same environment as humans? If they haven't found any, how would they know?
In other news, I've got an audition on Monday, which is one reason I haven't updated in awhile. The other reason is that I'm too lazy!

For the first time astronomers have discovered a planet outside our solar system that is potentially habitable, with Earth-like temperatures, a find researchers described Tuesday as a big step in the search for "life in the universe."
The planet is just the right size, might have water in liquid form, and in galactic terms is relatively nearby at 120 trillion miles away. But the star it closely orbits, known as a "red dwarf," is much smaller, dimmer and cooler than our sun.
