Some food for thought.

While driving back from Akron the other night, I got to thinking about how many people travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sure, it's meant to be a time for togetherness. But really, when you think about it, most people eat turkey for Thanksgiving and most turkeys are rather large and therefore feed a large number of people. So blame it on the birds, yeah? Then there are turduckens... If you don't know what these are, you should look 'em up. I've never had one myself, but really, I'm ok with only one type of meat. What's funny is Yahoo! had an article about them and then had a link saying "consider tofurkey instead". Honestly, if someone is wanting to have a tri-meat dinner, are they really going to change their mind and cook up some tofu instead? Quite literally, it's:

vs.

Personally, neither look very appetizing, but the tofurkey looks a whole lot better...

haha courtney and I were just talking about those a few days ago... I don't understand how you eat them and why they have to be cooked inside each other and also who decided that because there was one hollow bird you should shove another bird inside that!

Turkeys, ducks and chickens, oh my!

Blech - makes everything taste gamey, IMHO.
