Alright, I know I haven't posted anything in a while. It's not that I haven't had any good blogging material, I just haven't been in the mood. And right now, I should be practicing (another reason), but this one needs to get done lest it leaves my head forever. Eww, I don't think I've ever used the word 'lest'...and I am definitely not a fan.
So, I had a very strange dream last night, and I'm sure it will sound even stranger because they always do when I describe them. Anyway, it was in Cleveland, but of course it wasn't exactly the same Cleveland. I remember walking down Mayfield from my apartment towards Little Italy, so I was approaching the Hill. Right where Mayfield forks, I noticed something strange in the right hand lane (on the Mayfield side). There was a white seal! And by seal, yes, I mean the sea animal. It looked like it was dead because it wasn't moving, but when I got close to him, he looked up at me and started following me. Of course this freaked me out ("Why in the world was a WHITE seal in Cleveland?? Umm, well actually why would any sort of seal be here?? And why is it following me?"). He was a very happy, energetic fella, and I instantly felt obliged to help him.
The first solution I thought of was to take him to Sea World. There is no Sea World here though, and I remembered that the only ones were in Florida, Texas, and California. I think the Baltimore National Aquarium even crossed my mind, so I was definitely thinking in this dream... Somehow, I ended up finding some sort of park here with a good bit of water and the people who worked there got all excited when they saw the seal. I guess there were some other sea creatures there...I really don't know where this was. So the seal jumped in the water and swam all around, and all was well.
I'm not sure what really happened next, but for some reason, I remember the dream ending even more strangely. This seal was somehow from Cleveland, and he was out to trick us all. He must have laid himself in the road with the intention of being rescued and taken to a new park, maybe specifically the one I took him to. He also probably wanted to get all the attention so that people would see him on the news, hear his story, then see him at the park, and even though the animals don't get paid, he did?
See? I told you it was strange. What the heck does all that mean? There was definitely more to it, but I can't remember it all. Analyze away, dream people.
After re-reading what I wrote, the twist at the end reminds me of something that Dan Brown would do. haha.

haha, omg, that's brilliant.
Yes, I must be brilliant while sleeping, too! Or only while sleeping, hmm.......
i wish (in this case, but not in general) you were a hip indie filmmaker so you could make a short film of that dream. you could have cool "walking around with a seal" music.
That would be interesting... I'm sure one of the NESA cinema guys would have done it. Like Chaim! Is that how it's spelled??
yes'm. but i would prefer that colin and rusty do it. or maybe they could all do it and then we could pick a winner.
